Empiria Prosecco £17.95 (highly recommended)

A great value Prosecco from arguably Italy’s best white wine region.A drink much loved by locals. This Prosecco is hugely drinkable withLots of aromas and zing.  

Vino Spumante Rose £17.95 (recommended)

A fantastic Rose sparkler that sets the standard high. Excellent fruit with just the right amount of zing. Enjoy.

White Wines:

Chablis, La Colombe  £17.00

The classic Chardonnay from Northern Burgundy. Luscious fruit on the nose & palate & a dry finish. 

Sonop Chardonnay, South Africa (Organic & Fair Trade Certified) £14.95

This delightfully “creamy” Chardonnay has vanilla oak overtones & a rich, full style.  

PinotVerduzzo,Italy  £10.99  (Per Glass 175ml) £2.00

This white is “off-dry”, therefore suiting most palates. Clean & crisp with gentle apple aromas & a clean finish.  

Red Wines:

Sonop Pinotage, South Africa (Organic & Fair Trade Certified) £14.95

Luscious berry fruit flavours & spicy aromas with a lingering fruity finish. 

Concha Y Toro Merlot, Chile  £12.50

This famous Chilean red has a very “easy-drinking” style. Soft, mellow & relaxed with notes of blackberry & cherry on the palate. 

Merlot-Refosco, Italy  £10.99   (Per Glass 175ml)  £2.00

This medium-bodied red is a fabulous all round great. Gentle fruit on the nose & palate with a hint of spice on the finish. 

 

Local Ales: 

Cumberland Ale 500ml Bottle  £2.95

4.2% ABV

A superb golden coloured ale, brewed with malt made from specially selected Maris Otter barley and using only the finest English aromatic hops. Traditionally brewed for over a 100 years, using pure Lakeland water drawn from the brewery’s own well. A full flavoured beer with a delicate hop character, makes this beer ideal for the demanding, modern beer drinker. 

Sneck Lifter 500ml Bottle  £3.90

5.1% ABV

A dark beer with a reddish tinge, derived from the use of coloured malts, perfectly balanced with specially formulated brewing sugars and English aromatic hops. A strong, satisfying ale, wonderfully warming and full of complex flavours, which create an intriguing beer of great character. In northern dialect sneck means door latch and a sneck lifter was a man’s last sixpence which enabled him to lift the latch of a pub door and buy himself a pint, hoping to meet friends there who might treat him to one or two more. 

Hawkshead Gold 500ml Bottle  £2.95

4.4% ABV

A golden ale with an uncompromisingly bitter and complex taste. A blend of English & American hops. A truly stunning ale. 

Bluebird 500ml Bottle  £3.50

4.2% ABV

A single varietal hop beer. Golden in colour & light, clean, quality taste. Orange fruit aromas balanced by biscuity malt. Brewed at the award winning Coniston Brewery. 

Tag Lag 500ml Bottle  £3.50

4.4% ABV

Named after a loyal sheepdog at the Drunken Duck Inn Ambleside. A golden ale with a fresh &spicy hop aroma. Its fruity bitterness builds to a refreshingly dry finish. Brewed at Barngates Brewery, Ambleside.
