Our first property, the Hideout, is located 600 yards from The Cranleigh and is your own private retreat for the duration of your stay. It is conveniently located only 5 minutes’ walk from Lake Windermere and the beautiful village of Bowness. The property is perfect for a mini-moon, for celebrating a special occasion, or if you simply want to feel totally relaxed and alone with your partner.

Since acquiring The Cranleigh four years ago, we have always striven to deliver relaxed and exciting accommodation experiences for our guests. We have learned from our guests, examined their needs and requirements, and listened carefully to their comments. It became very clear that there was a demand for a new type of experience in Lake District breaks... and the idea for The Hideout was born. Our aim is to give you a unique and private experience with all the facilities and extras you get when staying at The Cranleigh - in fact, the only difference is that it is your own home for the duration of your stay.

You can book The Hideout by the night all year round, apart from at weekends where there is a two night minimum policy. The experience is exclusively for two people and comes with everything you would expect in a 5 star property in the Lake District. You also get complimentary access to the fantastic spa and leisure facilities located a five minute walk away; there, you will find a new 3 million pound spa, gymnasium, steam room and stunning swimming pool with views directly over the Lake.
