Stephen and Louise, the owners, have bought the Cranleigh with a vision to create a luxury cutting-edge Bowness guest house, with in-room facilities that rival the best Lake District hotels. Much care and effort has been spent on design, layout, decoration and furnishings in all rooms, not to mention their superb designer bathrooms. The lounge, dining and reception areas of the main building have also been refurbished using contemporary classic design as a theme throughout, with the finest quality fabrics and furnishing. It was very important in the initial design and layout to create a finish that complemented the Arts & Crafts design of this period property, with the ultimate aim of creating a truly unique Lake District hotel.
